Mares

These girls run the roost  and they know it.  I swear some of them run over their due dates just to watch us wade out into the night wearing whatever was lying at the foot of the bed and  whatever shoes were lying at the back door and, of course, carrying the indispensable Maglite.

We don’t tolerate the typical “broodmare” mentality.  Our mares are all easily managed, load, lead, tie, bathe, etc... As a matter of fact, most of our mares are broke to ride or are in the process of such.  We are very proud of our girls and the know it.

Buckskin Tobiano

Dee’s first baby is great and she is bred back to Goose for a 2010 baby.  You can see her first filly on the newest arrivals and foals for sale page.

Dee is broke to ride and has running horse written all over her without the idiocy that often accompanies speed.  She is quick, agile, and has a nice long stride and easy lead changes.  She needs additional training to be a true barrel/pole horse, but she has all the raw material.  She is no idiot!!  She will move from a dead run to standing still with little effort and has done very well on trails.

We are offering her because she has so much potential as a barrel or pole horse, but not much in the way of western pleasure or halter which is the direction  we are moving.

She is being offered with the foal she is carrying or with the foal she is carrying and bred back to Goose.

Gray Mare

Maggie is a wonderful mare.  She is our go-to-girl.  She is working bred and it shows!!  She has produced one baby for us and that foal is now a working cow horse and is adored by her owner.   Maggie is a flea-bit gray, although she looks awfully white.  She is out of family stock and holds a very special place on this farm.

She is N/N .

We bred Maggie to Goose for a 2010 baby.  It should be a working son-of-a-gun!  We can’t wait to see the hip on this baby

Bay Overo

Nacona came to us from a farm in west Alabama that had been hit by the severe drought.  She was very underweight and didn’t know much.  Since she has been here, she has certainly learned about the feed bucket.

She is picking up weight nicely and continues to prove to be a wise investment.

Nacona has come along nicely and we decided to forego her show career and breed her for a 2010 baby.  We are looking forward to what she and Goose are going to put on the ground.

We are really excited about Nacona.  We purchased her in April of 2008.  She is ready to start her training and I think she is going to be an outstanding pleasure horse.
